Terre Brune from Cantina Santadi is a prestigious Sardinian red wine, Carignano del Sulcis DOC Superiore, made primarily from Carignano grapes with a small percentage of Bovale Sardo.
Produced from ancient bush-trained vineyards in Sulcis, it is aged in French oak barriques and then in the bottle, developing great elegance and complexity.
It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, and aromas of plum, blueberry, sweet spices, bay leaf, juniper, tobacco, and chocolate.
On the palate, it is rich, warm, and soft, with elegant tannins and a long, persistent finish.
Alcohol content: 14.5% vol.
Pairings: ideal with important roasts, grilled red meats, game, braised meats, Sardinian dishes, and aged cheeses like pecorino.
It also pairs well with grilled bluefin tuna belly. Serve at 18-20 °C.
